The students were given a tour of , Salford’s Home of Skills and Technology. They spent time in the custom-built gaming arena, green screen room and virtual reality centre. They also took part in cyber workshops, including spending time as a ‘digital detective’. The event was led by Whalley Range alumnae Hana, who inspired the students with the story of her journey to working in the digital industry. Students also got the chance to hear from three of the BT Group’s current degree apprentices about their career so far.

We look forward to continuing to work with the Cyberfirst team who arranged the event, to allow many more of our students to access wonderful opportunities like this.

I think the trip was amazing, the activities were fun and engaging and really made me rethink my decisions for my GCSEs!
