Students show off their iDEA Award certificates, in September 2024

iDEA Awards 2024 ( Published: 25/09/2024)

A significant number our current Year 10 pupils have been presented with iDEA Award certificates relating to their hard work and commitment in Year 9 computing lessons.

As part of their computing curriculum, Year 9 students participate in the iDEA Award, an international award-winning programme that helps them to develop digital, enterprise and employability skills. We鈥檙e delighted to announce that this cohort have been our most successful yet, achieving:

  • 5,359 badges
  • 112 Bronze Award certificates
  • 8 Silver Award certificates

The pupils also attended a celebration assembly that included a talk from Mrs Wragg, our Trust Digital Strategy Lead, and a personal video message from iDEA Award CEO, Polly Morgan, congratulating them on their fantastic achievements.

We’re delighted with the attitude and effort of this year group to achieve so many awards! In a society dependent on a workforce possessing a strong digital skillset, these students now have certification of the skills and knowledge required to progress to the next stage of their education.
